As a requirement for every team, it is essential for a parent or guardian to step forward and fulfil the coaching and team managing roles. West Coburg Netball Club, entirely run by dedicated volunteers, relies on the involvement of parents and guardians to ensure the smooth operation of each team. We understand the value of your time, and that's why we offer a range of support avenues to make your coaching or team management experience as smooth and rewarding as possible.
Coaching at WCNC

Our club operates with the invaluable support of volunteers like you, and we want to ensure that you have all the necessary tools and resources to excel in your role. The club schedules a dedicated weekly training time to your team on the Morris Reserve courts. Additionally, we provide you with a comprehensive kit bag filled with essential equipment, including three balls, a ball pump, training and game bibs, a first aid kit, and a water bottle holder.
Along with Netball Victoria's wealth of online coaching resources, we provide you with a subscription to the Netball Coach App, as well as free access to coaching clinics when they arise. WCNC also covers your coaching registration fees and, as a token of our appreciation, provides you with a COACH WCNC hoodie and polo to secure your legendary status. We truly value and support our dedicated volunteers.

The role of a Team Manager at West Coburg Netball Club is like being the captain of a fun ship! You get to be the go-to person for your coach, making sure they have what they need. You're also the friendly face your team can rely on for any questions. Tracking who's in for the games keeps things organised, and you'll even be the weather guru for training days, deciding if it's a "rain or shine" affair. You'll get to play matchmaker by assigning scorers and taking attendance at games – keeping everyone in the game-day groove. And don't forget, you're the club's messenger, forwarding the latest info from the coordinator to your team. Your dedication as a Team Manager plays a pivotal role in the overall success and cohesion of your team and the West Coburg Netball Club community.
