Child Safety
Is Our Priority
How We Play, On and Off the Court
At West Coburg Netball Club, the safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority.
We are committed to creating an environment where all children feel safe, valued, and empowered. We respect and support every child, along with our dedicated staff, volunteers, and members.
We have zero tolerance for child abuse. All concerns and allegations are taken seriously and handled in line with our strong policies and procedures.
We are guided by both legal and moral responsibilities, and we act without hesitation when we have concerns about a child’s safety.
Our club is proactive in preventing child abuse by identifying risks early and taking steps to remove or reduce them. We have thorough recruitment processes in place for all volunteers, including Coaches, Team Managers, and Umpires.
We are dedicated to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing an inclusive environment for children with disabilities.
Our Committee, members, and volunteers are supported by clear policies, training, and procedures to uphold these commitments.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, call 000.
